60)Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Games are as important for adults as they are for children. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

The world of childhood is dominated by games: children love to play with games, they are really important for their growth. It often happens to see an adult playing: it is not simple saying if games are as important for adults as they are for children. We need to realize why do children and adults play games.

Children love playing games because it is the most natural thing they can do: each child wants to move around, to jump, to have fun with friends, but also to live great adventures thanks to videogames. Playing game is an opportunity for children to stay in opened spaces, like playground, or the sand; to stay with friends, so it is an opportunity to socialize; and it is also important because playing sports helps children to improve their strenght and resistance. So playing games is really one of the most important things in childhood.

On the other hand adults too seem to like playing games, and the number of adults that play games seems to increase year by year. Adults play game like soccer, volleyball, but also any kind of sports: we can understand that by the growing attention to their shape. In fact adults want to play sports to lose weight and to keep in good shape. But sport isn’t the only game they play: adults have lately discovered the greatness of some videogames released in the last years; playing videogames is a way for them to get relaxed and have fun, thanks especially to the high level of graphic and sound reached by those games.

So, according to the elements presented before, I think it wouldn’t be right saying games are important just for children: adults too are interested in those things. But the main difference is the attitude that adults and children have towards games: adults like playing games because they want to keep in shape and just have fun, while children need to play game because it is the way they get to grow up , having fun while they learn things and move around.
