No one goes through life without running into trouble once in a while. Some people think that these experiences that seemed difficult while they were talking place teach us valuable lessons that will be useful in the future. Others think that difficult times end with the solution to the problem and no longer have an effect on our lives. As for me, I agree with the former idea because difficult experiences can teach us lessons through mistakes, and these experiences also make it easier to deal with similar challenges in the future.
For one thing, if we learn from out difficult experiences, we are not likely to make the mistakes again. Take an example a freshman in university who spends most of his time having fun with his friends and very little time studying and preparing for exams. As the time for exams grows closer, the freshman will become nervous and have to spend the last few days cramming for the upcoming exams. It will be a very stressful time for the student. However, after this experience the student will probably not neglect his study. Instead, he will make an effort to study regularly throughout the semester so as to avoid such stress again. This is just one example of how a difficult situation can help us in the future.
Furthermore, difficult experiences will provide us with necessary knowledge that we can use when a similar problem comes up. For instance, if you start a new job and have a confrontation with a coworker, it will probably be a very awkward situation because you have had no experience in that type of situation. However, every time it happens, you can learn new and better methods of dealing with such things. Eventually, that type of situation ceases to be such a difficult situation because you are able to deal with it quickly and effectively. After some time, you can become efficient in dealing with people. In the working world, this is a valuable skill. Dealing with difficulties is the only way to learn this lesson.
